I am writing to inform you that we will be discontinuing our service from Port Everglades to Puerto Rico effective with the Southbound sailing of the National Glory Voyage 293 departing Port Everglades on December 22, 2024. The last Northbound sailing from San Juan to Port Everglades will be Voyage 291 departing San Juan November 27, 2024.
We have evaluated our business operations and have decided it is no longer feasible for us to continue providing a service from South Florida to Puerto Rico. While we regret any inconvenience this may cause, we feel this decision is in the best interest of the company.
We have served Port Everglades since 2021. The business has been marginal and exacerbated by a downturn in trade given the proximity of Port Everglades to Jacksonville – the main load center to Puerto Rico.
This will not impact our service from Houston to Puerto Rico which we have served since 2013. Houston remains our home port and continues to be the only Puerto Rico carrier providing service to and from a US Gulf port.
We appreciate your business and want to assure you that we will do everything possible to make this transition a smooth one.
Sincerely,

Torey Presti
President of National Shipping of America
