June 1, 2024: In Houston, the 330,000-lb transformer was delivered shipside and lifted directly from the specialized rail car to the National Glory.
Once secured, the transformer was transported to San Juan, where it was lifted from the
ship to a waiting heavy haul trailer.
The Transformer is destined
for a LUMA – Puerto Rico electrical grid power
substation.
